THE REAL FAILURES TO GHANA

LAST STANZA

BY: Joyce Ohenewaa Kwapong

Cheap education!
No better than a school without accreditation
Our educational curriculum hardly being revised
Academic work and practical life issues on different spectrum
Thereby producing a mass number of uneducated literates
Each year, graduands walk majestically in their gowns
Along the aisle, they walk to receive their academic certificates
Certificates which do not truly reflect who they are and what they carry within themselves
After the celebration, the realities of life stare in their faces
Many join the unemployed train
Why? All because of CHEAP EDUCATION
EDUCATION has lost its BIRTHRIGHT to SCHOOLING
A wake up call to all students
Open your eyes and be vigilant!
Upon the completion of school does not make one educated
Let us arise and seek for education in our schools beyond mere schooling
Together, let us say NO to Cheap Education.
